Providence Leadership Development Program 2022

The Providence Leadership Development Program has concluded its second consecutive year with the Executive Team eager to witness the growth and progression of the Providence Leadership Alumni. The Leadership Development Program ran from June to October with 9 participants from across Providence converging on Canberra to discuss the neuroscience, social conditioning and experiences that shaped their career and leadership journeys thus far.

Nikki Roche from Blue Zenith once again did a brilliant job introducing the team to various leadership concepts and challenging the team to continue to develop their individual personalised toolkits to grow as leaders.

Highlights from the team’s discussions during the program included;

  • Various approaches to leadership
  • The metrics of leadership
  • An analysis of the Human Synergistics Life Styles Inventory (LSI) assessment (in addition to completing the LSI 360 feedback)
  • Deep dive into psychological safety within the workplace

The discussions amongst the team and Nikki centered around sharing knowledge, experiences, how to have productive talks at work, inspiring people to learn, honesty and forming close bonds.

This year, the program team were asked to answer the question “How can we foster a culture and mature environment where people feel safe to own their mistakes and share what they have learned with the broader company in line with the spirit of the core value: ‘Own your mistakes. Never stop learning’”. The team was asked to present their findings to Adash, Craig and Jess with the intention to help direct Providence’s aim to further foster a great culture as we continue to grow.

The Leadership Development Program participants would like to acknowledge and thank Nikki, Adash, Craig and Jess for not only investing in their professional development but also participating and giving extremely helpful insights into their leadership history. The team is very grateful to have such experienced mentors that are willing to help grow and guide the next generation and facilitate organisational growth.

Congratulations to all the Providence Leadership Development Program participants of 2022! John Stathakis (TAS), Lachlan Nicholas (ACT), Marina Maydanov (ACT), Melody Earl (SA), Natalie Attenborough (ACT), Nick McInnes (VIC), Peta Hudson (ACT), Sharon Patton (ACT), Victoria Appleton (VIC).
