Our Story

Providence Consulting: an Australian success story

An Australian veteran-owned professional services provider, we have delivered our services and specialisations to defence, government, and industry since 2005. Founded in Canberra, and operating nationally we are guided by our ethical, and unique approach to consulting, and have built a reputation as an authentic capability partner.

Our desire to make a positive impact and difference is fundamental. We are committed to delivering meaningful progress and enabling our clients, our people, and the community to solve complex problems, realise goals and ambitions, and contribute to national security outcomes. Working together as genuine capability partners, we will unlock each others potential to deliver success together.

The Providence Promise

The Providence Promise is our pledge to our clients and our people, to work together as authentic partners to achieve shared success.

In delivering this Promise we acknowledge organisations and people bring diverse capabilities, cultures and perspectives to problem solving and each person has unique needs.

Together we — Providence, our clients and our people — will provide a safe and supportive environment that respects and embraces this diversity unlocking the full potential of our partnership. This values-based approach is underpinned by open, honest and respectful three-way communications enabling the collaboration and critical thinking needed to solve today’s problems, deliver individual and collective growth and achieve shared success.

Our Values & Behaviours

Engage with and listen to others

We champion soft skills: we have empathy, we are approachable, and we actively listen. We promote collaboration and respect, and genuinely strive to help our colleagues and clients succeed.

Be humble and work hard

We conduct ourselves with humility: we are not overbearing; we leave our egos at the door and we roll up our sleeves to get the job done.

Be good at what you do and act with integrity

We think critically, we are flexible, and we think before we act. We are pragmatic: We balance the following of processes with the delivery of outcomes. We value openness, honesty and accountability.

Own your mistakes and never stop learning

We actively seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. We see our successes and failures as learning opportunities to be shared.

Have fun, look after yourself, and those around you

We contribute to an enjoyable workplace and maintain a positive work/life balance. We take time out when needed and we look out for others.

Be community minded

We are part of a diverse and vibrant community and seek opportunities to utilise our skills and passions for wider benefit and to support those in need.

Meet Our People

Providence’s people are driven by their desire to apply their specialisations, expertise, and values to enable our clients to meet their challenges head-on and realise their futures.
